It features a 14-bit 80 MS\/s analog-to-digital converter, a high-performance FPGA-based digital down-converter and a 480 Mbit\/s high-speed USB 2.0 PC interface. Being an SDR device, Perseus relies on software applications to perform the demodulation process. In addition to providing digital signal processing functions, the software has a simple graphical interface. Integration with third-party software is provided in several ways, through the Microtelecom Software Defined Radio Developer Kit, virtual audio ports and virtual communication ports.<\/p>\n<h3>A perfect SDR receiver for shortwave<\/h3>\n<p>Perseus offers top-level reception, ideal for shortwave, with exceptional band monitoring capabilities. The analog front end has been carefully designed for the most demanding users and includes a 0-30 dB attenuator in 10 dB steps, a 10-band preselector and a high-dynamic-range preamplifier with a top-of-the-range intercept point exceeding 30 dBm. The resulting dynamic range is greater than 100 dB in SSB and 105 dB in CW.
